Sicily is the largest Mediterranean island. The autumn is the perfect time to explore its beauty and gourmet pleasures, due to the warm and sunny climate. Even non-kite companions will come on their own account, as dreamy beaches with turquoise water are surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
Where will we kite?
At Lo Stagnone, which is located on the west of Sicily near Marsala. A large lagoon, flat water, and constant wind will satisfy the most demanding kite supporters.
What’s the spot like?
The spot is spacious, and due to the shallow water, also completely flat. It works on different wind directions.
Who’s it for?
Kiteboarding in Sicily is very suitable for the beginners, the flat-water lovers and the freestylers.

An excellent wave spot called Pozzitedu is located about 40km from Lo Stagnone.
What can I do when there is no wind?
Sicily, as a cradle of ancient culture, offers many opportunities for exploring historical sites. Historical cities like Erice and Marsala, as well as a very well-preserved ancient temple, are within are driving range from the kite spot. If you are not interested in history, you can go on a day trip to the nearby island of Favignan or explore many surrounding beaches, like for example San Vito Lo Capo.
